4 out of 5 stars Useful Device   August 20, 2010
Sandra Tripp (Orleans, CA)
The Raytek MT6 MiniTemp Infrared Thermometer was a useful device for me. The item preformed as expected. This device provided me assurance that the AC used on our construction project adhered to specifications for temperature.

5 out of 5 stars Review of MT6 Innfrared Thermomter   May 27, 2010
Gareth G. Goetz (LHC, Az)
After doing some research, I was convinced that his product would be the one to replace my analog thermometer; I was not disappointed. It gives a temperature reading instantateously whether the object is cold or hot. Very impressive and the cost was great; a savings of $30.00 compared to other vendors.

4 out of 5 stars Works as expected, feels a little chintzy   May 4, 2010
Daniel Laird (Alabama, USA)
This thermometer does exactly as you would expect it would, takes the temp of anything, performs admirably. I cannot comment on it's longevity, as I have not had it long, but the overall feel is kinda cheap, but for the price, it works as it should.

1 out of 5 stars Toxic Chemical Smell   April 24, 2010
Charles Peterson (San Antonio, TX USA)

Upon opening package, I was greeted with strong toxic chemical smell, same as associated with cheap products made in China. Smells something like diesel fuel. Everything inside the package smells. Somehow, the better brands, such as Apple and Sony, do not have this smell even when made in China. But the cheap stuff all too often does. I had hoped that Raytek, a Fluke brand, mean quality, but apparently not. I had been a fan of Fluke products going back 30 years. I waited too long to return and so this goes into the trash. Not knowing what the chemical is, I don't even want to handle it. Now I don't know what to buy. I had really been looking forward to using this.

4 out of 5 stars Great product for general use   April 9, 2010

Money worh to pay for. The good feature is that when you trigger once, it hold the temperature, and you can also scan the temperature by holding the trigger. It reads C or F. I also found out that it does not read accurate on some metal/shiny surfaces.
